Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros arrives on streaming after crossing Rs. 200 crore at the box office, making it one of the biggest Malayalam hits of the year. Directed by Savin S.A., the coming-of-age sequel moves into adulthood, focusing on responsibility, setbacks, and the friendships that carry the story forward.
Hashir H., Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V. lead the cast, with Vijay Babu, Aju Varghese, and Alphonse Puthren in supporting roles. It keeps the humor of the original while adding more weight to its characters, giving the story a stronger emotional core.
Dacoit: A Love Story

Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur star in this action thriller centered on revenge and personal conflict. Sesh plays Haridas, a man who returns from prison driven by betrayal, only to find himself pulled into relationships that shift his priorities.
Directed by Shaneil Deo and produced by Annapurna Studios, the film also features Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj in key roles. It was released in theaters on April 10 and is now on Amazon Prime Video.
Bharatanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam

Love Mocktail 3

Darling Krishna returns to write, direct, and star in the final chapter of the Love Mocktail franchise, alongside Milana Nagaraj. Set several years after the second film, it follows Adi as a single father raising Nidhi, the girl he adopted at the end of Love Mocktail 2, in a quiet life shaped by daily routines and close relationships.
That stability is disrupted when an elderly woman arrives claiming Nidhi is her biological granddaughter, leading to a custody conflict that reshapes their lives. The film blends emotional moments with family drama as it brings the story to a close.

Lukkhe is a musical action-drama series set in Chandigarh’s underground rap scene. Love Insurance Kompany (LIK)

Written and directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by Nayanthara under Rowdy Pictures, LIK is a sci-fi romantic comedy set in 2040. The story centers on a company that has developed an app designed to predict and ensure the success of relationships using data and algorithms.
Pradeep Ranganathan plays Vaibhav, who believes love should remain natural and unpredictable, while Dheema (Krithi Shetty) places her trust in the system. S.J. Suryah also stars. With music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film explores a technology-driven take on modern relationships within the romantic comedy space.
The Big Theatrical Highlight: Dhurandhar: The Revenge on Netflix
Ranveer Singh’s spy epic Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the blockbuster conclusion to Aditya Dhar’s duology, releases on Netflix on May 14, following one of the biggest theatrical runs in Indian cinema history. The film grossed over Rs. 1,800 crore worldwide, emerging as the second-highest-grossing Indian film of all time and the highest-grossing Hindi-language film domestically. It stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and R. Madhavan.

Tu Yaa Main (Netflix, April 10): Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav in a survival thriller remake of the 2018 Thai film The Pool. Two social media influencers find themselves trapped in an empty swimming pool at a secluded estate with a crocodile. Critics praised the tense second half, and the film holds an impressive 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Toaster (Netflix, April 15): Rajkummar Rao plays a legendarily stingy man whose obsession with recovering a gifted toaster spirals into a murder mystery. Directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary and co-starring Sanya Malhotra and Abhishek Banerjee, it is one of the more inventive Hindi comedies in recent memory.
Assi (ZEE5, April 17): Anubhav Sinha (Thappad, Article 15) directs Taapsee Pannu as a lawyer taking on a series of gang-rape cases, with Kani Kusruti (All We Imagine as Light) playing the survivor at the center of the case. A procedural courtroom drama with a deep human cost.
Vadh 2 (Netflix, April 3): Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta return in a new moral thriller from director Jaspal Singh Sandhu, set in the same universe as the acclaimed 2022 original. The film digs into the philosophical line between justice and vengeance.
O’Romeo (Amazon Prime Video, April 10): Vishal Bhardwaj reunites with Shahid Kapoor twelve years after Haider for this 1990s Mumbai crime-romance starring Nana Patekar and Triptii Dimri. A moody, razor-sharp thriller from one of Indian cinema’s most distinctive directors.
