Mission & Editorial Purpose

Sanskar Savvy is a culture-forward media platform spotlighting South Asian music, film, food, fashion, and arts, and featuring creators for Millennial and Gen Z audiences within the North American South Asian diaspora, as well as culturally curious audiences worldwide.

Our mission is to inform, contextualize, and celebrate culture with integrity and respect, while building a trusted relationship with our community.

We believe culture reporting should be thoughtful, transparent, and community-first. These guidelines outline what our audience can expect from us and how we hold ourselves accountable.

Editorial Independence

Sanskar Media Group maintains a clear separation between editorial decision-making and commercial partnerships.

• Editorial content is created independently and is never influenced by advertisers, sponsors, partners, or contributors.
• Financial relationships do not guarantee coverage, favorable coverage, or editorial approval.
• Opinions expressed in articles, interviews, reviews, or columns reflect the views of the author, not necessarily of Sanskar Savvy as a brand, or as a whole.

Content Standards & Quality

• We strive for accuracy in all reporting and storytelling.
• Information is verified using credible sources wherever possible.
• We aim to present subjects fairly and in an appropriate cultural, historical, and social context.
• We avoid sensationalism, misleading headlines, and content designed purely to provoke outrage or misinformation.
• All quotes, facts, images, and creative works are correctly attributed.
• We respect copyright and do not knowingly publish plagiarized or improperly licensed material.

Ethics & Integrity

• Sanskar Media Group does not engage in plagiarism and, with all reasonable diligence, ensures that all content accurately represents the facts and sources.
• We respect the privacy and consent of individuals featured in our coverage and obtain permission when necessary.
• All individuals and communities are represented fairly, avoiding bias, exaggeration, or mischaracterization.
• We maintain zero tolerance for hate speech, harmful stereotypes, or discriminatory content in any form.

Diversity, Equity, & Representation

• We are committed to inclusive storytelling that reflects diverse voices, regions, identities, and experiences.
• We actively avoid stereotypes, harmful representations, tokenism, and exploitation.

Conflicts of Interest & Disclosures

Ticketing, Affiliate & Commerce Links

Use of Generative AI

• Sanskar Media Group may use AI tools for limited, editorially supervised purposes such as research support, transcription, or workflow assistance.

• Any published content meaningfully assisted by AI will meet the same editorial standards as human-created work and will be disclosed when appropriate.

Reviews & Criticism

Sanskar Savvy regularly publishes reviews of albums, films, concerts, live performances, and OTT releases.

• Reviews are written to inform, contextualize, and critically evaluate, not to promote.
• All reviews reflect the honest opinion of the writer.
• Access to events, screenings, listening sessions, or interviews does not guarantee favorable coverage.
• Commercial relationships, ticketing access, or partnerships do not influence editorial ratings or conclusions.

Corrections & Updates

• If we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
• Substantive corrections and/or updates will be noted within the article.

Social Media

• Our social channels are extensions of our editorial voice.
• Information shared on social platforms follows the same standards of accuracy, verification, and professionalism as our published content.
• Errors on social media will be corrected transparently.

Sanskar Media Group is independently owned and operated. Responsibility for editorial content rests with Sanskar Media Group and its editorial leadership.
