He is currently on The Rampage Tour, his North American DJ run that brings together Bollywood, house, techno, and electronic influences, attracting audiences familiar with his music and movies in major cities. Sunny Leone Rising in the Nightlife Circuit
On World Music Day in 2024, Sunny Leone established herself as a celebrity DJ and has since expanded her career, headlining many high-profile parties, entertainment events, and festivals. This marks another stream in her career, tying together nightlife culture and her broader celebrity brand.
Sunny also appeared during DJ Marshmello’s Sunburn Holi Tour performances in India, which drew more than 70,000 attendees across multiple cities, for which she gained much praise and acclaim. She continues to appear at celebrations and events throughout India and internationally.
Uditaa Goswami’s Early Move Into DJing
Amongst Bollywood celebrities who started their careers as DJs, Uditaa is one who made the most complete transition. After building a career through movies like Zeher and Aksar, she gradually stepped away from acting to focus on music full-time and also trained professionally under DJ Suketu.
In the early 2010s, Uditaa began building a sustained presence in the nightlife and music-remix culture, performing regularly at festivals and private events. What sets her apart from other celebrity-DJ crossovers is her consistency and exclusive focus on DJing: she shares mixes, performs live, and remains active in India’s nightlife circuit.
Her sets blend commercial Bollywood music with electronic, house, and remix-driven music, often spinning and remixing songs tied to her husband, Mohit Suri’s, projects. She recently received widespread praise for a remix of “Saiyaara”, again linking hit film soundtracks to nightlife music.
Uditaa stands as a prime example of a Bollywood actor who has successfully cultivated a stable, long-term identity in the professional DJ space.
Abhay Deol’s Unexpected DJ Moment
Abhay Deol recently surprised fans when moments of his DJing at a nightclub in Gurugram went viral on social media. Fans found his relaxed yet spontaneous musical approach behind the console very refreshing and praised his sets.
Over the years, Abhay has developed a reputation for stepping outside traditional Bollywood roles through his film choices, conversations, and the quieter roles he takes on. His appearance as a DJ added another layer to his versatile career and provided a way to connect with the audience in real time.
