As Lecrae’s “Reconstruction World Tour” makes its way across North America, anticipation is building for one of its biggest stops yet: Dallas, Texas. Known for its diverse music scene and passionate faith community, Dallas is set to host a night where hip-hop meets purpose, led by two-time Grammy Award–winning artist Lecrae, with special guests Miles Minnick and Gio.
Our writer, Sravya, sat down with Surge Vasudevan, the CEO of YOUNITED Entertainment and promoter for the Dallas show, to talk about Lecrae’s influence, the rise of Christian hip-hop, and what fans can expect from this powerful night at The Bomb Factory. It’s a moment to Celebrate, Explore, Connect! bringing together fans, faith, and music in one purpose-filled night.
Sanskar Savvy: Why are you bringing Lecrae to Dallas?
Surge: Lacrae is an incredible artist, and someone whose career I’ve been following for a while now. What I was really drawn to was his appeal across different cultures and genres. Many of my friends and peers in the South Asian community are also big fans, and I thought it was a unique opportunity to bring an artist to Dallas that would bridge a cultural gap in a way outside of the usual.
Sanskar Savvy: What do you think Lecrae brings to the stage that audiences won’t experience at a typical hip-hop show?
Surge: Well, the music for one is faith-based and not secular, but the culture and influence of hip-hop still very much resonates with the audience. It’s definitely a gathering of people for a bigger purpose, and something that many different kinds of people can get behind and support. I wanted to be part of something that would unify several of my music communities.
Sanskar Savvy: Lecrae is a two-time Grammy Award winner with multiple Billboard, BET, and Soul Train Awards. What do you think these achievements say about his influence in music today?
Surge: Lecrae has been in the Christian Hip-Hop music space for well over a decade, and the genre is currently one of the fastest-growing in the world. Having influenced other artists like Forrest Frank, Hulvey, and KB, to name a few, Christian hip hop is now embedded in our mutual culture and appeals to people from many different community groups here in the DFW.
Sanskar Savvy: How do the special guests, Miles Minnick and Gio, fit into the energy of the night? Any highlights fans should know about?
Surge: Miles Minnick is one of the fastest-growing artists in this genre, and his West Coast background, along with his melodic, upbeat style, really connects with a variety of audiences, and he is only scratching the surface of his potential. Gio, who just released his album FINE BY ME last week, is also a rising artist amongst the younger audience and has been an inspiration for many with his lyrics and Godly music composition.
Sanskar Savvy: What’s one thing you want fans to know about this show in Dallas? Why should they come out?
Surge: The Dallas show will be the best on the tour, with the largest audience. Dallas is a big market for this type of music, and having the support of the Christian, Hip-Hop, and South asian communities will really take this to the next level. Plus, having the privilege of producing this event at a renowned venue like The Bomb Factory in my hometown just makes it that much more special.
Sanskar Savvy: What is YOUNITED Entertainment, and what makes your events stand out?
Surge: Younited Entertainment was founded in 2019 and is designed to connect people and bring them together through entertainment. I have collaborated with other local organizers to produce hip-hop shows, as well as a few shows catering to the Bollywood/South Asian markets. In 2025, Younited Entertainment has shifted its focus into producing Christian music events, as God has really blessed the business with various opportunities throughout its tenure, and this is also a way to share those blessings with others. The priority is also to make sure that Jesus Christ gets all the glory in everything that we do, regardless of the type of show that we produce. Our mission is “To bring people together through the power of entertainment, ‘Built on Faith, Perseverance, and Purpose.’” We exist to unite hearts and create a movement of lasting change.
As the “Reconstruction World Tour” heads into Dallas, it’s clear this show is about faith, unity, and purpose coming together on one stage. With Lecrae, Miles Minnick, and Gio leading the charge, and YOUNITED Entertainment bringing its vision to life, the night promises to leave a lasting impact on everyone in the room.
