Sanskar Savvy at SF Unicorns Family Day: A Celebration of Cricket in the U.S.
The Sanskar Savvy team was on the ground for the San Francisco Unicorns Family Day to connect with fans, promote Major League Cricket (MLC), and share in the growing enthusiasm for cricket in the U.S. Held in the Bay Area, the event brought together families, players, and supporters for an afternoon of cricket, conversation, and community, everything Sanskar Savvy stands for.
Tina from our team captured one of the day’s most heartfelt moments: “A young boy ahead of me had every player sign his T-shirt. The players were calm and kind and really took time with the kids. You could see their faces light up; it was special.” From handshakes to mini-games, the Unicorns players brought joy to every fan who came out to meet them.
Ash shared how meaningful the event felt on a bigger level. “It was amazing to see so many kids excited about cricket. The players were humble and friendly, and their energy matched that of the crowd. You could feel that this was about growing the game in the U.S.” Ash and the team also helped spread awareness about the upcoming MLC matches by distributing flyers and posters around the event and answering questions at the Sanskar Savvy booth.
Our team had great conversations with families who were curious about MLC and excited to attend the upcoming games. Posters were placed throughout the event, from the entrance to the food truck zone, to make sure people knew where and how to get involved.
Jenny wrapped up the day on a personal note: “The highlight for me was getting autographs from every single player. It wasn’t just about collecting signatures; it felt like collecting memories. The Unicorns made everyone feel seen.”
