Coming from the heart of Punjab’s Moga district, Paramjeet Kaur, known as Param, represents a new generation of Punjabi artists redefining what modern regional music can sound like. Early Roots in Punjab
Param grew up in Duneke, a small village in Punjab’s Moga district. With her mother working as a house help and her father as a daily-wage laborer, she was raised in an environment shaped by simplicity and hard work. A Fresh Sound in Punjabi Music
Punjabi music today sits on global charts and crosses genres, and Param steps into this space with a powerful voice. “That Girl” has already hit 14 million views on Youtube within a month of its release and Param has amassed 592,000 followers on Instagram.
Support from artists like Badshah, Vishal Dadlani, and Lilly Singh, among other big names, has introduced Param to wider audiences, reflecting early recognition from both the industry and listeners. She’s even been dubbed by audiences as “Lady Moose Wala”, comparing her talent and style to the legendary Sidhu Moose Wala.
