Holi Season Is Almost Here, And We’re Bringing the Color With It!

For the South Asian community, spring begins with color, music, community, and celebration. As Holi approaches, cities across North America are preparing to celebrate one of South Asia’s most joyful festivals. This season, Sanskar Savvy is proud to spotlight the events that bring people together to Celebrate, Explore, Connect!

This Holi season, we’re highlighting celebrations that reflect the spirit of the festival through culture, music, and shared experience. These events create space for the diaspora to come together, welcoming those who have grown up celebrating Holi alongside those experiencing it for the first time.

What Holi Represents Across Generations

Holi is the arrival of spring and the renewal that comes with it. Traditionally, the festival centers on unity, shared joy, and the idea that celebration is collective. It’s a day when barriers fade, communities mix, and people gather through color, music, and laughter.

For the South Asian diaspora, Holi carries added significance. It offers a way to reconnect with cultural roots while celebrating in evolving spaces. Across North America, Holi combines tradition with contemporary sounds, familiar rituals with new formats, and community customs with local energy.

What You Can Expect at These Holi Events

While each celebration has its own identity, the Holi events we’re recommending this year share a few common elements:
