Loca Loka’s debut offering includes Tequila Blanco and Reposado,  crafted from 100% pure highland agave sourced from the renowned Jalisco region in Mexico. This tequila truly embodies the blend of cultures from India and Mexico. Distilled and matured for over six years, it perfectly balances sweetness and spice. The fiery spirit of Mexican festivities meets the profound, aromatic spices of Indian cuisine, creating a tequila experience that is both bold and exquisite.

Global Expansion with a Strategic Start

After its initial launch in the USA, Loca Loka plans to expand globally, including a launch in India later this year. The US, known for its appreciation for craft spirits and growing consumer trends, has been strategically chosen as the starting point. “Having witnessed the evolution of tequila in the US from a quick party shot to a sophisticated spirit savored by many, it was clear there was a unique opportunity,” explains Harsha Vadlamudi, founder of Loca Loka to The Hindu.

The Essence of Loca Loka

The name Loca Loka combines the Spanish “Loca” (crazy) and the Sanskrit “Loka” (world), symbolizing a crazy world. Rana Daggubati elaborates in The Hindu, “Both Indian and Mexican cultures boast rich histories, music, art, and multiple other traditions. We are excited to weave together the essence of these two cultures with Loca Loka. We want to share this unique blend with long-time lovers of tequila and long-time lovers of tequila and those who are just beginning their journey into the world of tequila.”

Celebrating Legacy and Craftsmanship

Loca Loka stands out in the crowded market of celebrity-endorsed spirits by creating a fusion of  cultures, offering something definitive and new. Rana Daggubati emphasizes to Entrepreneur India the importance of building a legacy, saying, “We work towards building a legacy, we like to build scale, and we like to see this through  as a global brand. The fact that we can leave a mark and create a sense of community with the brand is  unique.”

A Curated Experience

Loca Loka will be launched at select retail stores in Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey from mid-June, followed by an expansion into Illinois and Texas in August. The Tequila Blanco, with its rounder fruity flavors of cooked agave and the earthier floral flavors of the Highland agaves, will retail for $45.99 for a 750 ml bottle. The Tequila Reposado, with a richer aroma and aged in French and American oak barrels, will retail for $54.99.
