Mission & Editorial Purpose

Sanskar Savvy is a culture-forward media platform spotlighting Indian and South Asian music, film, and arts, and featuring creators for Millennial and Gen Z audiences within the global South Asian diaspora, as well as culturally curious audiences worldwide.

Our mission is to inform, contextualize, and celebrate culture with integrity and respect, while building a trusted relationship with our community.

We believe culture reporting should be thoughtful, transparent, and community-first. These guidelines outline what our audience can expect from us and how we hold ourselves accountable.

Editorial Independence

Sanskar Savvy maintains a clear separation between editorial decision-making and commercial partnerships.

• Editorial content is created independently and is never influenced by advertisers, sponsors, partners, or contributors.
• Financial relationships do not guarantee coverage, favorable coverage, or editorial approval.
• Opinions expressed in articles, interviews, reviews, or columns reflect the views of the author, not necessarily of Sanskar Savvy as a brand, or as a whole.

Content Standards & Quality

• We strive for accuracy in all reporting and storytelling.
• Information is verified using credible sources wherever possible.
• We aim to present subjects fairly and in an appropriate cultural, historical, and social context.
• We avoid sensationalism, misleading headlines, and content designed purely to provoke outrage or misinformation.
• All quotes, facts, images, and creative works are correctly attributed.
• We respect copyright and do not knowingly publish plagiarized or improperly licensed material.

Ethics & Integrity

• Sanskar Savvy does not engage in plagiarism and ensures that all content accurately represents the facts and sources.
• We respect the privacy and consent of individuals featured in our coverage and will obtain permission when necessary.
• All individuals and communities are represented fairly, avoiding bias, exaggeration, or mischaracterization.

• If we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
• Substantive corrections or updates will be noted within the article.

Social Media

• Our social channels are extensions of our editorial voice.

• Errors on social media will be corrected transparently.
