India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Final: The 41-year Wait Ends NOW!

In a moment that has electrified the cricketing world, India and Pakistan are set to face off in the Asia Cup 2025 Final, a showdown that has never happened before in the tournament’s 41-year history. Despite decades of fierce competition and unforgettable encounters, the two giants of Asian cricket have never met in the final match. That changes now!

Since the Asia Cup’s inception in 1984, fans have dreamed of an India-Pakistan final. But due to format changes, scheduling quirks, and inconsistent performances, the stars never aligned. This final marks the end of a four-decade-long streak and the beginning of a new chapter in cricket history.

India’s Dominant March

India defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs in a crucial Super 4 match, confirming their spot in the Asia Cup 2025 Final.

India’s batting innings was set ablaze by Abhishek Sharma, who smashed a breathtaking 75 off just 37 balls. His knock included six boundaries and five sixes, dismantling Bangladesh’s bowling attack and giving India early momentum. Hardik Pandya anchored the middle overs with a composed 38 off 29 balls, ensuring the team maintained control even as wickets fell. Despite a brief slowdown, India posted a competitive 168/6 in 20 overs, setting a challenging target.

Bangladesh’s chase never truly took off. While Saif Hassan fought valiantly with 69 off 51 balls, the rest of the batting lineup crumbled under pressure. India’s spinners were the architects of Bangladesh’s collapse: Kuldeep Yadav delivered a masterclass with 3 wickets for 18 runs, using flight and variation to trap batters. Varun Chakravarthy added 2 wickets for 29 runs, keeping the middle overs tight and frustrating the chase.

Bangladesh was bowled out for 127 in 19.3 overs, falling well short of the target.

Pakistan’s Spirited Comeback

Pakistan edged past Bangladesh by 11 runs in a tense Super 4 match, securing their place in the tournament final and setting up a historic clash with India.

Pakistan’s batting innings on shaky ground, slumping to 49/5. But the lower order rose to the occasion. Mohammad Haris played a gutsy knock of 31, anchoring the recovery. Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with a valuable 25, steadying the ship. Shaheen Afridi, not just a menace with the ball, smashed 19 off 13 balls, including two towering sixes that pushed Pakistan to a defendable 135.

Pakistan’s bowlers came out swinging, setting the tone early. Shaheen Shah Afridi was electric, claiming 3 wickets for just 17 runs. His early strikes dismantled Bangladesh’s top order, removing Parvez Hossain Emon and Towhid Hridoy in quick succession. Haris Rauf matched Afridi’s intensity, bagging 3 wickets for 33 runs, including two clutch dismissals in the death overs. Saim Ayub added pressure in the middle overs with 2 wickets, keeping Bangladesh’s chase in check.

Bangladesh ended their tournament run with 124 in 20 overs, falling just shy of the target.
